World Book Online
·
You
need to get the login ID and password from Miss Beesley.
·
Type
the name of your president in the search box.
·
When
you get to the article about your president, use the headings on the left hand
side of the window and you will find information faster.
·
The
bibliography for this information is at the bottom of the article. Copy that
exactly. This should be the ONLY part that you copy exactly!
Internet Public Library
·
Click
on the name of your president.
·
There
will be some information on this page, but the links are what is really great.
Look for the Internet Biographies links.
You must write a bibliography for this information, too.
First, check the bottom of the website to see if the bibliographic information
is already written for you. If it is not, you need to find the pieces yourself.
1.
Start by looking for the name of the author. It may not be
there, but check the bottom of the page.
2.
Next find the title of the article. It will have something to
do with the name of your president most likely.
3.
Figure out who is responsible for the website. Does the
website belong to the White House? Did a historical society create it?
4.
Look for a date that the information was last updated. This is
usually at the bottom of the page, also.
5.
The next two things are easy Ed White Library and the date.
6.
Last thing is the URL (the website address). Yes, you need to
write it all.
